What lands well

Conditions — what the trail, road, launch or tide was actually doing, and when you were out there.
Corrections — a gate that is now locked, a milepost that has moved, a business that has closed.
A place that deserves an entry, or a story about one that already has one.
Events and local organizations that ought to be on the calendar or in the local life list.

Every note is read. Corrections get checked against the ground before they go into an entry, so a reply may take a week or two.

Before you write

Road closures, beach advisories, forest restrictions and tides are all published by the agencies that own them. If your question is about going out today, check there first — the practical section collects the links.
